What we store, and what we don't
Your account holds your email address, your trial dates and your subscription status, and payments are handled by Stripe. Your PDFs, scans, highlights and notes stay on your device and never reach our servers.
Offline by design
Once installed, ScanMyPdf keeps working in airplane mode, in a basement records room or on a train. Nothing about scanning or reading depends on a connection.
For sensitive paperwork
Use it for patient summaries, signed agreements, school forms, immigration paperwork, insurance letters and tax documents: anything you'd hesitate to upload.

Does ScanMyPdf upload my documents?
No. Scanning, OCR, search, highlights and notes all happen on your device.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
Files stored in the app are removed with it, so save copies of important PDFs to your device or your own backup.
Can I use it without internet?
Yes. After the first visit it works offline. It checks your subscription when you're back online.
